Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Staff Structural Engineering Technician to support the development of high‑quality deliverables for complex structural infrastructure projects in the VDDS team. You will create and modify structural models, drawings, and details using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Bentley MicroStation under close supervision.

Under guidance, you will assist engineering teams, apply fundamental engineering principles, and ensure outputs comply with codes and BV standards while

Qualifications

• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Diploma or Certificate required.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions in a project engineering technician capacity.
• Develops and modifies technical deliverables under supervision.
• Applies foundational engineering principles to create design concepts and solutions.
• Uses CAD, BIM, 3D modeling to create, modify, and maintain drawings and project deliverables.
• Provides technical guidance to other professionals to ensure quality across outputs.
