Job summary

Advanced Structural Design Inc. is seeking a BIM Technician to join our structural engineering team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, with a preference for those who have experience developing structural construction documents and models.

Proficiency in Revit is essential. Candidates with advanced Revit skills and strong BIM process knowledge will be favored. Familiarity with structural drafting is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience producing technical drawings or construction documents.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings.
• Ability to read and understand building plans from structural, architectural, and other disciplines.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain structural BIM (Revit) models.
• Produce structural plans, sections, elevations, details, etc. at the direction of structural engineers.
• Coordinate structural models and plans with Architectural, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Develop and maintain Revit families, templates, detail libraries, and other BIM tools.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with firm standards.
• Maintain and improve firm BIM standards and processes.
• Structural AutoCAD drafting as needed.
