Job summary

Insight Global in the United States seeks an experienced BIM engineer to develop detailed 2D and 3D structural models, produce construction drawings, and coordinate models across engineering, architecture, and construction teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years with Revit and AutoCAD, experience modeling reinforced concrete and structural steel, and can generate takeoffs and schedules while ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience creating structural BIM models and CAD drawings.
• Strong experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience modeling structural systems including reinforced concrete and structural steel.
• Ability to create shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and construction documentation.
• Experience coordinating models with engineers, architects, and construction teams.
• Knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and industry standards.
• Experience performing model coordination and clash detection.
• Ability to generate material takeoffs and schedules.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, Construction, Architecture, or related field preferred.

5+ years of experience creating structural BIM models and CAD drawings.

Strong experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.

Experience modeling structural systems including:

Reinforced concrete

Structural steel

Rebar/reinforcement layouts

Ability to create:

Shop drawings

Fabrication drawings

Construction documentation

Installation details

Experience coordinating models with engineers, architects, and construction teams.

Understanding of building codes, construction practices, and industry standards.

Experience performing model coordination and clash detection.

Ability to generate material takeoffs and schedules.
