Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Structural Designer for the Energy and Resources Design Team to contribute to multidisciplinary projects across North America and globally, with a focus on hydropower, dams, water resources, and marine infrastructure. The role works under supervision of a Senior Designer or Engineer, and follows a hybrid model requiring 2–3 in-office days per week to enable collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of technical or college course in design/drafting or equivalent experience.
• 6–12 years in engineering consulting or construction.
• Experience with hydropower, dams, navigation structures, naval facilities, shipyards, waterfront projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement Stantec Safety Culture and Health & Safety rules.
• Perform modeling, drafting and structural design tasks for diverse projects.
• Complete project deliverables on budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and project teams to produce quality deliverables.
• Support hydroelectric, dam, water resources, marine, and industrial projects.
