Requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Aerospace/Civil engineering and hands-on FEA tool experience, including MSC/NASTRAN or NX/NASTRAN, plus material knowledge. Onsite employment with background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
• Experience with structural analysis techniques including classical hand analyses and FEA.
• Working knowledge of FEA codes (MSC/NASTRAN or NX/NASTRAN) and pre/post processing tools (FEMAP).
• Knowledge of metallic and composite structures and bonded/bolted joint analyses.
• Knowledge of structural failure mechanisms including metal/composite fatigue and instability.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis (FEA and classical hand) for project phases including configuration studies, preliminary and detailed design, and verification/validation.
• Analyze and size structural hardware per loading environment and material properties; generate structural margins.
• Provide design recommendations to optimize load paths for more efficient designs.
