Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
• Experience in structural analyses techniques including classical hand analyses and Finite Element analysis utilizing both coarse system load and detail stress FE models.
• Working knowledge of FEA codes (MSC/NASTRAN or NX/NASTRAN) and pre & post processing tools (FEMAP).
• Knowledge of metallic and composite structures, as well as bonded joint, and bolted joint analyses.
• Knowledge of structural failure mechanisms including material failure in metals and composites, instability of structural elements, and Fatigue.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis (FEA and hand) across project phases and assess margins.
• Recommend configuration/design changes to optimize load paths for efficient designs.
