Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in structural analyses techniques including classical hand analyses and FEA.
  • Working knowledge of FEA codes (MSC/NASTRAN or NX/NASTRAN) and pre/post processing tools (FEMAP).
  • Knowledge of metallic and composite structures, bonded and bolted joints.
  • Understanding of structural failure mechanisms including fatigue.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis (FEA and classical hand analyses) for project phases.
  • Size structural hardware per loading environment and material properties.
  • Generate structural margins (strength and stability) and recommend design optimizations.
  • Suggest load-path improvements for more efficient designs.
