Job summary

ACL Digital is seeking an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer in Seal Beach, CA, to support Aerospace Commercial Airplanes Customer Support operations. This role involves performing structural and stress analysis for aircraft interiors using hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) methods.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 3+ years of structural analysis experience, and expertise in FEA methods. Preference is given to those with experience in aerospace, mechanical, or civil engineering, and familiarity with industry-standard tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural/stress analysis for aircraft interiors and systems components.
• Create and validate finite element models from 3D CAD models.
• Conduct linear and nonlinear FEA analysis using industry-standard tools.
• Perform hand calculations and failure mode analysis.
• Support FAA/EASA compliance and certification activities.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and cross-functional teams.
• Review engineering drawings and substantiation reports.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in structural/stress analysis.
• Experience with linear and nonlinear FEA methods.
• Strong understanding of load paths and structural behavior.

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering background.
• Experience with HyperMesh, HyperView, NASTRAN, and PATRAN.
• Knowledge of durability, fail-safe, and damage tolerance analysis.
• Experience with FAA/EASA compliance requirements.
• Experience working with 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
