Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking an RN for inpatient care on 12-hour shifts at 0.9FTE. The Staff Nurse will deliver holistic patient care, document care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes adherence to ethics, regulatory standards and evidence-based practice while supporting professional development and patient-centered care within NM.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license is required.
• BLS CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• ADN or higher nursing degree (e.g. BSN) required upon hire.
• Analytical skills to assess patient condition using the nursing process.
• Ability to interact effectively with patients, families and the healthcare team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care from admission through discharge using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel.
