Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse Inpatient to uphold our mission, vision and values while delivering compassionate, evidence‑based care to acutely ill patients. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The position is an afternoon/second shift at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, starting 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM, four days per week; benefits and a sign‑on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

BSN required and Illinois RN license.
Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
Ability to collaborate with patients, families and health teams.

Responsibilities

Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, plans, implements and evaluates care.
Directs care and utilizes assistants appropriately.
Collaborates with patients, families, physicians and staff to create a documented, outcome-focused plan.
Participates in governance, committees and unit projects.
Documents patient responses and updates the care plan based on findings.
Uses current evidence to guide nursing practice.
