Job summary

Madera Community Hospital in Central California seeks a Stroke-STEMI Coordinator to lead the hospital's acute stroke and STEMI programs. You will educate staff, support patients and families, monitor outcomes, and ensure accreditation compliance through data analysis and performance improvement.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and leadership to optimize workflows, guide treatment protocols, and ensure timely care for acute events, driving quality outcomes throughout the care

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Current California RN license is required.
  • ACLS and BCLS certifications are required.
  • NIHSS certification is required.
  • TNCC or CCRN certification preferred.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Course certification is required.
  • 3-5 years ICU or ED experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory/charge nurse role.
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to develop and foster teamwork among co-workers and physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the hospital's acute stroke and STEMI programs.
  • Lead staff education and provide patient/family support.
  • Monitor performance, data analysis, and accreditation compliance.
  • Develop protocols, track outcomes and drive continuous quality improvement.
  • Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and leadership to improve workflows and ensure timely care for acute events.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on stroke/STEMI data.
