Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
  • RN licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • Five years’ experience is preferred.
  • One year of leadership experience is preferred.
  • Two years’ acute care nursing in hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the stroke program data collection, abstraction and entry.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and accreditation standards.
  • Supervise and direct activities of multiple levels of staff.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expert nursing guidance.
  • Develop and maintain transfer agreements with surrounding hospitals.
  • Participate in budget planning and HR decisions for the department.
