Job summary

The George Washington University Hospital is seeking a Stroke Program Coordinator to support the Nurse Manager in leading the Stroke Program. The role focuses on program development, staff leadership and coordination of care for stroke patients within an academic medical center.

Responsibilities include direct clinical coordination, staff mentoring, regulatory compliance, and leading continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• BSN required and demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
• Certification in Neuroscience (CNRN) preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience with data collection, interpretation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of the Stroke Program.
• Provide direct care to stroke patients as Stroke Coordinator.
• Mentor staff and ensure regulatory compliance across the unit.
• Lead quality improvement, risk management and performance monitoring initiatives.
