Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, health sciences, public health, emergency medical services, business administration or related field; BLS required.
• Five years’ clinical and/or management experience in a multidisciplinary health care setting including at least two years inpatient experience preferred.
• After 6 months, knowledge in stroke care per American Stroke Association Guidelines required.
• Knowledge of current state laws and regulations as applicable to facility and stroke program.
• Proficiency in Windows applications; data management, data analysis and quality improvement; proficiency in CPOE and core clinical systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead all activities associated with the Stroke Program.
• Participate in performance improvement data collection and analysis.
• Assist with development and implementation of stroke care initiatives, policies and staff education.
• Evaluate Stroke Program using data capture, follow-up and trend analysis; present findings to committees.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on problem identification, cost containment and new services.
