Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Miami, FL is seeking a Licensed Journeyperson Electrician to install, repair, and maintain streetlight electrical systems and related equipment. You will read blueprints to understand how the systems should operate and troubleshoot to develop practical solutions.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires a Florida Journeyman license, a high school diploma, and the ability to work at heights from bucket trucks and scaffolding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be licensed as a Journeyman Electrician through the State of Florida.
• CDL preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 90 days may be required.
• DOT medical card may be required; pre-employment drug screen/background check/MVR checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates & participates in the electrical maintenance & repair of streetlights and related equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, electrical circuits, switches, relays, lighting, motors, generators, breakers, fuses, control circuits, drives, and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions to restore operations.
• Comfortable working from heights in bucket trucks, snooper trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platforms.
• Performs routine bridge maintenance including cleaning contacts, lamp replacement, and maintaining organized electrical systems.
• Performs monthly Amperage and Megger readings on electrical motors and maintains bridge street, navigational, traffic signal & advanced warning lighting.
• Uses meters and testing devices on voltages up to 600V.
