The City of Maumelle is seeking a Street Operator III to contribute to the upkeep and construction of streets. Duties include operating heavy machinery, pouring concrete, laying asphalt, and performing manual labor under supervision.

Essential tasks cover operating graders and other machinery, tool use, mowing, landscaping, and maintenance of park and street structures. Supervisory responsibilities apply to a small crew, with safety and background checks in place.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 12 to 18 months related experience.
• 1 to 6 months managerial/supervisory experience.
• Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License required.

Responsabilités

• Operate graders, backhoes, dozers, front-end loaders, and other related machinery.
• Operate mowing machines, jackhammers, chain saws, concrete saws, and posthole diggers.
• Use hand tools such as saws, hammers, nail guns, and related equipment and tools.
• Mow grass using riding or other types of lawnmowers.
• Remove or trim shrubs, hedges, and trees using hand or power tools.
• Plant grass, flowers, and trees.
• Paint and repair park benches and other park equipment.
• Build, repair, and paint guardrails and fences.
