Job summary

City of Greeley is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled and semi-skilled work on City streets, alleys, roadways, and related infrastructure. You will operate light and medium-duty vehicles and support snow and ice control and general street operations.

Responsibilities include safe work, traffic control, and collaboration with a team under a Streets Supervisor. CDL training may be provided after six months of employment, with repayment terms outlined.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of experience operating light equipment, vehicles, or machinery used in construction, maintenance, or public works operations.
• 0–1 year of experience performing street maintenance, roadway construction, pavement repair, or related infrastructure maintenance activities.
• Traffic control and flaggers certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, repair, and construction of City streets, alleys, roadways, and related infrastructure.
• Maintains gravel roads, alleys, shoulders, and rights-of-way.
• Safely operates light and medium-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Sets up, maintains, and removes temporary traffic control devices and safe work zones.
