Job summary

Town of Berthoud is seeking a Streets Technician I to operate equipment, perform street maintenance, and assist in Public Works operations. The role requires safety awareness, ability to work with the public, and basic report writing.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and a valid Colorado driver’s license. Training for Class B license and flagger duties may be provided. Regular hours and on-call duties apply.

Responsibilities

• Operates Town vehicles and equipment (e.g., grader, excavator, snowplow, dump trucks, loaders, street sweeper, mowers).
• Performs street maintenance tasks (patching, crack sealing, drainage, signs, barricades, pavement markings).
• Assists Public Works and other duties as directed.
• Maintains records and safety practices.
• May perform cemetery duties and flagging duties.
