Job summary

City of Prescott seeks an Equipment Operator for Street Maintenance in Public Works. You will operate trucks and heavy equipment for road and drainage work, perform pre-trip inspections, and assist with events and traffic control. Strong safety focus and ability to follow directions are essential.

Requires High School diploma or equivalent and a CDL Class A with tanker endorsement within 12 months. Rotation includes nights and weekends; benefits include health coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience operating heavy or motorized equipment preferred.
• Must obtain CDL Class A with tanker endorsement within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate City vehicles and equipment for construction and street maintenance.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and small repairs.
• Set up and manage traffic controls for daily tasks and events.
• Assist in drainage and road maintenance; mow rights-of-way.
• Adhere to safety rules and DOT requirements; report hazards.
