Job summary

City of Manitowoc is seeking a skilled labor and equipment operator to maintain streets, sanitation, forestry, and cemetery areas. You will operate a range of heavy equipment, perform spring cleanup, salting and snow plowing, and may assume team leader duties. Weekend and holiday standby may be required.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid Wisconsin driver’s license, and CDL B/C with air brakes and tanker endorsement within six months. UTV/ATV certification may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; training may be acceptable.
• Experience in construction, cemetery, or parks with heavy equipment.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license and CDL B/C with air brakes and tanker within 6 months.
• Cemetery staff may require UTV/ATV certification and pre-employment drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and custodial work in department facilities.
• Operate heavy equipment for streets, cemetery, and related tasks; assist in spring cleanup and snow removal.
• Standby for weekend/holiday assignments as directed by leadership.
