Job summary

TechNexus Venture Collaborative in Chicago seeks a hands-on Strategy & Venturing Manager to quarterback corporate partner engagements and bridge advisory work with venture development and investing.

You will lead end-to-end strategy projects across venture investing, corporate development, portfolio support, and new opportunity development, managing cross-functional teams and analysts while interfacing with Fortune 500 executives.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of total professional experience in top-tier management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or venture capital.
• Proven ability to independently lead complex engagements and guide analyst workstreams.
• Strong proficiency in strategic frameworks, market sizing, corporate financial analysis, and business valuation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting to C-level executives and startup founders.
• Passion for early-stage technology, emerging markets, entrepreneurship, and venture collaboration models.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with AI tools to support research and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Engagement Leadership & Corporate Strategy: Lead client and partner projects end-to-end, define objectives, structure analyses, manage work plans, and deliver high-impact results.
• Venture Development & Investing: Identify, evaluate, and perform due diligence on venture-stage startups to inform strategic investments.
• Pipeline management and investment execution for the investing partnership.
• Financial & valuation modeling to assess economic impact of growth strategies and investments.
• Portfolio & growth support; help integrate innovation into partner businesses.
• Mentor and develop analysts; expand partnerships with corporate collaborators.
