Job summary

State Farm is seeking an ambitious Analyst intern for a summer program in the Claims Strategic Realization Office. You’ll engage in strategic process improvement within the P&C industry and contribute to enterprise initiatives shaping claim handling practices.

You will coordinate planning, maintain roadmaps, collaborate across teams, perform analyses, and help improve tools and processes. This paid internship runs June 2, 2027 – August 11, 2027, with a hybrid schedule and a $2,000 stipend in

Qualifications

• Must be a current college student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Data/Business Analytics, Communications, Insurance/Risk Management, or related.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher (cumulative and in major) is required.
• Strong learning agility with ability to quickly learn new technical skills and business concepts.
• Experience with recurring reporting tasks including building, automating, troubleshooting, and maintaining reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning activities for strategic programs and department initiatives.
• Maintain roadmaps, milestone trackers, status updates, action logs, and dependency tracking.
• Collaborate across business, technology, process, analytics, and operations teams.
• Conduct analysis and reporting to support planning, readiness, prioritization, and decision-making.
• Help develop templates, tools, and standard processes to strengthen planning and governance.
• Track follow-up actions, deliverables, and timelines to ensure commitments are met.
