Job description

Overview

Being good neighbors – helping people, investing in our communities, and making the world a better place – is who we are at State Farm. It is at the core of how we operate and the reason for our success. We're moving with urgency to become a Next Gen Good Neighbor, with technology that strengthens human connections and enhances the customer experience. As an employee, you'll spend less time navigating systems and more time applying judgment, empathy, and expertise in the moments that matter most.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with business partners to analyze P&C Claims performance data and translate insights into process improvements that support critical decision making, efficiency, and strategic shifts.
  • Work alongside Operations/Process Excellence leaders, Claims stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to identify process opportunities, streamline workflows, and remove bottlenecks.
  • Use data analysis skills to understand “why” processes perform the way they do—applying problem-solving techniques to improve effectiveness and customer outcomes (e.g., cycle time, quality, rework, first-contact resolution).
  • Navigate through ambiguous business requirements by leveraging business acumen, research skills, and peer collaboration to define clear problems, measure impact, and refine solutions.
  • Manage time effectively to deliver results across multiple timelines in both agile and non-agile environments.
  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements, identify pain points, and translate findings into actionable process changes with minimal direction from leadership.
  • Support the modernization of reporting and operational tooling (e.g., converting on-premises data assets to AWS) to enable more scalable, automated process monitoring and continuous improvement.

Business Acumen and Competencies
  • Strong data analysis and visualization abilities, with an emphasis on turning findings into clear recommendations and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated interest in process improvement, continuous improvement, and customer experience.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, including root cause identification and the ability to evaluate solutions based on impact and feasibility.
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal) and partnership skills to work directly with business and/or Enterprise Technology partners.
  • Visual storytelling and presentation skills to explain findings, process opportunities, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
