Job summary

State Farm in Tempe, AZ is offering an internship in Process Excellence focused on analyzing P&C Claims data, translating insights into process improvements, and supporting cross-functional teams. You will work on data-informed decisions and help streamline workflows in a hybrid environment. Internship runs June 2, 2027 to August 11, 2027, Monday–Friday, 38.75 hours/week.

Pay is $24/hr with a $2,000 stipend. Selected interns must reside in the continental U.S. and be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be a current college student pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Applied Statistics, MIS or Business Analytics or similar fields.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher cumulative, and in major is required.
• Strong data analysis and visualization abilities.
• Excellent communication and partnership skills.
• Interest in process improvement and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze P&C Claims performance data and translate insights into process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and remove bottlenecks.
• Use data analysis to understand why processes perform as they do and improve outcomes.
• Define problems, measure impact, and refine solutions with minimal direction.
• Support modernization of reporting and tooling (AWS) for scalable monitoring.
