Job summary

NEA is seeking a six‑month Strategy Department assignment to support strategic planning, organizational learning, and leadership alignment. The role focuses on synthesizing complex information into actionable materials and facilitating stakeholder engagement to advance NEA's mission.

You will collaborate with Strategy Department colleagues and leadership to translate vision into strategic initiatives, with emphasis on learning, innovation, and evidence-based decision making.

Qualifications

  • Tier 1 (Essential): Ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into clear, actionable recommendations, presentations, and communication materials for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Vision Alignment & Innovation: align incoming president's vision with NEA's Strategic Plan; create materials and presentations for leadership and board.
  • Strategic Planning and Organizational Learning: support NEA Strategic Plan implementation; plan for SWOT analysis in 2027; develop high-quality written products and learning resources.
  • Innovation: Labor-Management Collaboration: deepen understanding of LMC as a power-building strategy; develop resources and upgrade LMC website; document success stories.
