Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking an ALG Strategy Lead to own the development of business strategy for all of Amazon Leo Government. As an individual contributor, you will independently develop go-to-market strategy, cross-organizational programs, operational mechanisms, and business analytics across the ALG portfolio—spanning domestic and international government market segments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
• 5+ years of professional or military experience
• 5+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking
• 5+ years of working with Business Application Technologies, including End User Compute, Supply Chain, Contact Center as a Service
• 5+ years of solving problems with technology in Healthcare/Life Sciences, Media & Entertainment, Global Financial Services, Telecommunications, Automotive & Manufacturing, Energy & Utilities
• 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
• 5+ years of working with Advanced Compute technologies including Accelerated Compute, HPC, Visual/Spatial Compute, IoT
• 5+ years of Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies
• 5+ years of Data & AI related technologies including AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and Storage
• 5+ years of program management, workforce strategy development, or metrics-driven decision making

Responsibilities

• Own the development of business strategy, go-to-market plans, and growth initiatives for all of ALG.
• Analyze business trends, market demand, and emerging needs across ALG to identify opportunities.
• Translate leadership priorities into actionable plans with milestones, owners, and metrics.
• Design strategy frameworks that integrate growth with operational execution.
• Define goals and metrics where none exist and design long-term solutions.
• Deliver strategic programs end-to-end from scoping to measurement.
• Build scalable operational mechanisms to improve consistency across the organization.
• Manage multiple workstreams, identify risks, and escalate blockers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Present solution options and trade-offs to leadership; balance short- and long-term needs.
• Develop detailed plans, documentation, and mitigate long-term risks.
• Build dashboards and analytics to provide visibility into ALG performance.
• Source and synthesize data; report on pipeline metrics and initiative effectiveness.
• Provide fact-based insights into variances and trends informing prioritization.
• Ensure outcomes are auditable, data-driven decisions, and measurable.
