Job summary

BMO Capital Markets seeks a Director, Strategy & Business Management to drive growth and operational excellence across Cash Equities and Global Index & ETF businesses. You will translate priorities into executable plans and govern performance for senior leadership.

The role requires a commercially minded, collaborative leader with strong judgment, analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence across a global, regulated markets environment.

Qualifications

• Typically 10+ years in Capital Markets, Global Markets, or related fields.
• Deep understanding of equity markets, market structure, and operations.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute strategic priorities with Cash Equities and Global Index & ETF leadership.
• Lead annual and multi-year planning, budgeting, and investment decisions.
• Prepare executive-level reports and governance materials.
• Monitor performance, develop dashboards, and drive decision-making.
• Advance automation and data-driven improvements across functions.
• Partner with HR on workforce planning and talent initiatives.
