BMO Capital Markets seeks an experienced Director of U.S. Equity Sales to join its Boston-based Institutional Equity Sales team. The successful candidate will develop and manage relationships with hedge funds, mutual funds, and other institutional investors, focusing on U.S.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in institutional equity sales or related capital markets role.
• Established relationships with U.S.-based hedge funds and mutual funds.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. equity markets and client profitability.
• FINRA registrations or ability to obtain within the timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand relationships with hedge funds, mutual funds, and other institutional investors.
• Generate revenue by distributing U.S. equity research, ideas, market intelligence, corporate access, and execution capabilities.
• Deliver timely, relevant content aligned with each client’s investment strategy and portfolio priorities.
• Maintain understanding of client investment processes, sector interests, trading activity, commission allocation, and service requirements.
• Partner with Research, Sales Trading, Electronic Trading, Derivatives, Prime Brokerage, Corporate Access, and Equity Capital Markets to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Coordinate analyst marketing, meetings, conferences, non-deal roadshows, and other corporate access opportunities.
• Develop account plans, revenue objectives, grow wallet share, and identify new client opportunities.
• Provide timely feedback on investor sentiment, positioning, market themes, and client activity to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate client activity and relationship information in the firm’s CRM systems.
• Conduct all client interactions in accordance with applicable regulations, internal policies, and the firm’s standards of conduct.
