Job summary

Bloomingdale's in New York seeks a Manager of Workforce Strategy and Planning to lead staffing analytics and drive initiatives that align with our store priorities and growth goals.

You will forecast weekly hours for scheduling, develop and maintain reporting tools (BAR), collaborate with senior management, and optimize staffing to boost sales and store efficiency while controlling expenses.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree or higher.
• 3-4+ years of work experience.
• Retail background preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to delve into complex data and develop recommendations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS-Access).
• Mathematical skills: basic functions and analytics.
• Ability to work with Senior Management and store teams.
• Highly organized with strong follow-up and urgency to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics behind staffing initiatives and develop strategies aligned to company priorities.
• Provide recaps and actionable recommendations to improve results; guide resource allocation.
• Publish and maintain monthly reporting; review needs of the business and reallocate staffing as needed.
• Develop improved reporting and analytical tools for expense and staffing management.
• Participate in Annual/Seasonal Staff Planning; assist in store staffing plans across departments.
• Forecast and budget weekly hours for scheduling and store events; maximize coverage.
• Monitor and optimize Store Hours to maximize productivity and payroll efficiency.
• Create ad hoc reporting for stores and central merchant initiatives to drive sales.
