Job summary

MITRE is seeking a PTOC Operations Lead to partner with leadership on demand signal management, resource planning, staffing, and hiring. You will ensure workforce capabilities align with organizational needs and engage with Talent Acquisition and HR.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, staffing trade-offs, and cross-functional coordination, with a focus on improving efficiency and decision support. This position requires on-site presence at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's; or a PhD with 3 years' experience.
• Experience in workforce planning, resource management, staffing, or operational planning within a complex organization.
• Experience assessing workforce demand, capacity, skills, and availability to inform staffing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Drive workforce and resource planning by evaluating staff capacity, skills, availability, utilization, and projected demand to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Lead staffing and hiring coordination in partnership with leadership, HR, and Talent Acquisition to translate needs into recruiting priorities.
• Establish and maintain workforce planning processes, dashboards, and reporting for visibility into demand and staffing pipelines.
• Provide data-driven analysis and recommendations on workforce composition, resource allocation, and hiring priorities.
• Coordinate cross-functional workforce activities to address competing staffing needs and improve responsiveness.
• Develop and improve workforce management practices using analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
