Job summary

San Juan College seeks a Center for Workforce Development Manager to connect with regional employers, identify workforce needs, and develop training programs and certifications that help businesses and their employees succeed.

You’ll combine business development, relationship-building, program development, and problem-solving to create new opportunities and deliver excellent client experiences at the intersection of business, education, and workforce development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in related field or equivalent.
• Sales experience preferred and helpful.
• Experience managing multiple programs, coordinating workforce training, and supervising staff (3–5 years).

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains relationships with business clients to identify workforce training needs and opportunities; prepares proposals and RFP responses; develops training agreements to support enrollment and revenue goals.
• Develops new programs and certifications to meet employer and employee needs.
• Supervises adjunct staff; participates in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and development per College policies.
• Achieves monthly and annual goals by integrating marketing, operations and finance knowledge.
• Occasionally facilitates StrengthsFinder or DISC training for College and/or businesses.
• Oversees instructor recruitment, scheduling, and onboarding; coordinates with HR on adjunct hires.
