Job summary

San Juan College is seeking a Center for Workforce Development Manager in Farmington, NM to connect with employers, identify workforce needs, and design training programs and certifications that boost regional opportunities.

The role combines business development, relationship-building, and program management to deliver a superior client experience and meet enrollment and revenue goals. A bachelor’s degree and several years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in related field.
  • 3–5 years of related experience managing multiple programs and priorities.
  • Experience in sales, client relationship management, and workforce development is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains relationships with new and existing business clients to identify workforce training needs and opportunities; promotes CWD programs and services, prepares proposals and responses to RFPs, and develops training agreements to support enrollment and revenue goals.
  • Develops new programs and certifications that support workforce development needs of employers and employees.
  • Supervises adjunct employees, participates in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management under College policies.
  • Achieves monthly and annual proposals, enrollment and revenue goals by integrating marketing, operations, and financial knowledge.
  • Oversees research and recommendations for new business opportunities and training sales options.
  • Schedules client-driven classes, assigns instructors, and coordinates logistics with Operations to ensure client satisfaction.

Works with HR to hire and onboard new Adjunct Faculty.Oversees the research, analysis and recommendations for new business opportunities and new training sales options with a keen awareness of organizational growth initiatives related to regional markets and target customer segments, as well as CWD’s potential to meet customer needs.Develops and implements plans designed to increase existing business and capture new opportunities for workforce development classes including both existing customer relationships and new markets.Schedules client-driven classes, assigns instructors, and coordinates additional logistics with the Operations Team to ensure client satisfaction.Collects and analyzes information and prepares data and sales reports, leveraging real data and capitalizing on business trends and opportunities.Represents the college to students, outside agencies, and community partners and colleges, including departmental Advisory Committees, demonstrating cultural competency, diversity, and inclusivity.Monitors and reviews instructor performance through evaluations. Discuss evaluations with instructors as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsKnowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a Bachelor’s degree and/or workforce development; sales experience.Experience sufficient to manage multiple programs and priorities, develop and maintain client relationships, coordinate workforce training, and supervise assigned employees, typically associated with three to five years of related experience.The following REQUIRED documents must be submitted with application in order to be considered .
