Job summary

The City of Visalia is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent to manage operations at the Water Reclamation Facility.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a solid understanding of wastewater treatment principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and external stakeholders to deliver projects and meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in the maintenance and operation of a wastewater treatment facility.
• Four (4) years of supervisory experience.
• Equivalent to an Associate Arts degree with major work in chemistry, biology or related science.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all functions of the Water Reclamation Facility and ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other departments and divisions.
• Prepare research, City Council presentations, and public assistance.
