Job summary

Russell's American Mechanical in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service teams. You will ensure material availability, accurate receiving, and safe, organized storage to support field crews.

Responsibilities include inventory management, replenishment, tool control, and coordinating with service and installation teams to minimize downtime and cost.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in warehouse, inventory, supply chain, purchasing, or operations.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, distribution, or home-services industry experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC equipment, plumbing materials, electrical materials, tools, and common service parts preferred.
• Strong inventory-management and organizational skills.
• Experience with inventory-management, ERP, or field-service software preferred.
• Strong computer skills including MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Ability to analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple operational demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations supporting HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service and installation teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe warehouse environment and clearly identify locations for equipment and materials.
• Ensure materials are received, stored, issued, transferred, and returned.
• Coordinate daily warehouse priorities based on service and installation schedules.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to technicians and installers.
• Maintain security and control over inventory, equipment, and tools.
• Identify opportunities to improve layout, workflow, productivity, and organization.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and complete transactions in the operating system.
• Conduct cycle counts and participate in physical inventories.
