Job summary

Lineage in Bedford Park, IL seeks a senior operations leader to direct a mid-sized warehouse, driving performance and compliance with safety standards. You will recruit, train, and coach staff while optimizing cost and service levels for a broad set of responsibilities.

You will collaborate with sales and logistics teams, manage budgets, and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma/LEAN to meet Lineage’s goals and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years’ Operations Management experience in Supply Chain or related field.
• Experience with strategy/annual plans (budget, SOPs, workshops).
• Experience with Six Sigma and/or LEAN.
• Experience training and developing people in operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Able to travel up to 25%.
• Able to lift 40 lbs. and work in varied temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Direct, recruit, train, develop, and provide performance feedback to direct reports.
• Achieve performance goals and KPIs such as Labor to Revenue and truck turn times.
• Review and analyze warehouse activities and costs to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Sales Manager on marketing, accounts, quotes, and contracts.
• Establish focus on customer service and client relationships.
• Monitor budgets, capex, MHE, and space utilization to meet targets.
• Support initiatives for proper receipt, storage, and distribution with safety standards.
