Job summary

Wanco Inc. in Arvada, CO is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse staff and daily inventory control, storage, and service shipping operations at our production facility.

You will lead parcel, LTL, and container receipts, manage KPIs, coordinate with purchasing and production, and ensure 5S and ISO 9001 compliant processes while managing budgets. This hands-on role reports to Operations Management and offers full-time employment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse/logistics leadership with teams >10 and >75K SF storage
• Experience negotiating Parcel and LTL agreements
• Strong understanding of inventory planning, replenishment logic, lead times, demand signals, shortage risk, and production readiness
• Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., Fishbone diagrams)
• Strong 5S experience and discipline
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (value stream, waste reduction, Flow and Pull)
• Strong communication across teams
• ISO 9001 compliant procedure writing
• Experience using ERP data, spreadsheets, reporting tools, SQL, exports, scripts, or similar analytical tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Staff leadership: recruit, train, supervise, assign daily tasks, conduct reviews
• Inventory control: maintain high accuracy using ERP; oversee flows, cycles, root cause and correction
• Order fulfillment: manage customer open orders and on-time/quality targets
• KPI management: develop and report department KPIs
• Storage: deploy disciplined storage methods with 5S standards
• Equipment management: manage material handling equipment requirements
• Budget management: develop and report operation and CAPEX budgets
• Safety: manage equipment and safety programs and certifications
• Obsolete inventory disposition and slow-moving items management
• Negotiate Parcel and LTL freight contracts
• Develop best practice storage methods
• Manage SOPs and compliance
