Imperium Global in Macon, GA is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Civil Operations to lead our civil division. The role carries full operational and financial responsibility, overseeing project execution, estimating, field operations, and business development across a portfolio of heavy civil work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 15+ years heavy civil construction experience.
• 5+ years in senior operations leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GDOT specifications and public bidding processes.
• Proven financial acumen including P&L ownership and forecasting.

Responsabilités

• Lead civil construction operations, including site work, grading, utilities, paving, bridges, and storm drainage.
• Own division profitability with P&L, backlog, WIP, cash flow, and margin performance.
• Oversee estimating and bid strategy, including go/no-go decisions, pricing, and risk assessment.
• Develop and mentor project managers, superintendents, and estimators, building a strong bench for succession.
• Drive safety culture with accountability for EMR and OSHA compliance.
• Manage client relationships with GDOT, municipalities, local agencies, and private owners.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and pursuing key pursuits.
• Oversee equipment utilization, fleet planning, subcontractor and supplier management, and procurement.
• Ensure quality control, contract compliance, and effective change order and claims management.
• Contribute to strategic planning, including market expansion and capital investment.
