Job summary

ACLU of Louisiana is seeking a Volunteer & Community Engagement Coordinator to support pro bono attorneys, volunteers, and community members throughout Louisiana. The role involves coordinating onboarding, schedules, communications, and logistics for pro bono engagements and Justice Lab clinics, while building volunteer pipelines and tracking outcomes.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects across legal and advocacy programs.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pro bono attorney and law firm engagement, onboarding, scheduling, and communications.
• Maintain records of participating attorneys, firms, hours, and project status.
• Coordinate Justice Lab volunteer engagement and logistics for clinics and programs.
• Develop systems to track volunteers, cases, assignments, and outcomes.
• Plan and execute public education events and teach-ins across the state.
• Support detention center stakeholder tours, including logistics and follow-up.
