Job summary

Interfor is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator, VMI in Peachtree City, GA to manage full-cycle vendor-managed inventory for lumber customers. You will forecast, coordinate replenishment, reconcile inventory, and handle consumption invoicing while collaborating with customers, operations, and finance.

You will work with logistics, planning, and sales teams to align with contracts, ensure on-time replenishment, and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory planning, customer service, or related field.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, replenishment planning, order management, and shipment tracking processes.
• Proficient with planning, reporting, and data analysis tools such as Excel and Tableau.
• Post-secondary degree in Business or related field is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Production Coordination: work with logistics, production planning, and mills to ensure inventory is available and orders align with sales and production strategies.
• Logistics Support: coordinate with logistics teams to monitor shipping dates, evaluate loading configurations, and track in-transit shipments by rail or truck.
• Supply Planning: plan replenishment orders within the horizon based on customer requirements, demand, target inventory, and mill capacity.
• Inventory Management: monitor customer inventory daily to keep within min/max thresholds and reconcile discrepancies weekly.
• Forecast Supply: download demand and inventory data from customer systems and project future inventory needs to support replenishment decisions.
• Billing Support: prepare weekly billing based on consumed items and assist receivables in resolving deductions or billing issues.
• Customer Service: be the primary point of contact for the customer, responding promptly and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
