Marshall University in Huntington, WV is seeking a Coordinator for Virtual Career Development to support career readiness and professional development for undergraduate and graduate students and alumni through innovative, accessible learning experiences.

The role collaborates across campus to advance strategic initiatives that boost student engagement and career success in both virtual and on‑campus environments, and it reports to the Assistant Director of Marketing and Student Engagement.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Human Resource Development, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Student Development, Social Work, Counseling, Workforce Development, or related fields.
One year of higher education experience in career development, instructional design, counseling, human services, or other related fields.
Proficiency in the use of technology, e.g Handshake, Navigate, Blackboard, and MS Office software.

Responsibilities

Focus on career readiness, virtual learning, and development of professional competencies through innovative and accessible educational experiences.
Collaborates across the university to advance strategic initiatives that enhance student engagement and career success in both virtual and in-person environments.
Reports to the Assistant Director of Marketing and Student Engagement and is based on campus.
The role may require occasional evening and weekend programming and use of multiple service delivery modalities, including virtual and in-person formats.
