Job summary

Hennepin Arts in Minneapolis seeks a Chief Venue Officer to join the executive team, reporting to the President/CEO. The role drives strategic leadership across operations, resource management, and governance to advance the organization's mission.

The CVO will oversee venue operations, technology-led process improvements, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring programs run smoothly, safely, and innovatively for diverse communities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in senior leadership roles, with COO-level experience preferred in non-profit or arts organizations.
• Advanced expertise in strategic planning, project management, and business development.
• Experience in venue management including box office, front-of-house, production, and group sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership to align partners with the strategic vision.
• Direct operational functions and oversee venue operations and initiatives.
• Oversee budgets and resource allocation to support short- and long-term goals.
• Report on venue operation metrics and drive governance and compliance.
