Job summary

Hennepin Arts seeks a Chief Venue Officer to join the executive team in Minneapolis. Reporting to the President/CEO, the CVO will drive strategic alignment, optimize operations, and lead initiatives to enhance venue performance and community impact.

The role requires a decade of senior leadership experience, with at least five years as a COO or equivalent in nonprofit or arts settings. Expect collaborative leadership, data-driven decision making, and a focus on innovation and accountability.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in senior leadership roles, with at least 5 years in COO or equivalent roles
• Proven success in nonprofit or arts organizations
• Strong strategic planning, project management, and business development capabilities
• Experience in venue management, including operations and program oversight

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction in alignment with the President/CEO
• Oversee all operational functions, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and scalability
• Manage venue budgets and resource allocation to meet short- and long-term goals
• Ensure governance, reporting, and continuous improvement across the organization
