Job summary

Grant PUD in Washington state seeks a Supply Chain Category Specialist to support the procure-to-pay lifecycle, vendor onboarding, data integrity, and supplier performance.

You will coordinate with Procurement, Accounts Payable, and stakeholders to ensure compliant, timely purchases and accurate vendor records, guiding vendors through onboarding and documentation.

The role requires collaboration, attention to detail, and adherence to internal controls in a government-like utility setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or related field, or one additional year of relevant experience.
• Two years of experience in procurement, supply chain, vendor management, or related function.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Experience using ERP, procurement, and contract lifecycle systems.
• Experience in public utility or government-related environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for vendors.
• Coordinate vendor onboarding, including documentation and setup.
• Maintain vendor records in ERP and related supplier systems.
• Process vendor account changes and banking/tax information.
• Research and resolve vendor payment and invoice inquiries with AP.
• Coordinate purchase order details with vendors and stakeholders.
• Support vendor compliance, safety, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate across Procurement, AP, Accounting, and other stakeholders.
