Job summary

HDR seeks a Value Engineer and Project Risk Management Lead to guide VE and CSRA initiatives, help shape strategy, and support business development across diverse infrastructure projects.

Travel is substantial (up to 75%), with collaboration across HDR client managers, technical directors, and operations staff to meet project needs. A CVS with 5+ years or a PE license with 6+ years of VE/CSRA leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• CVS certification or PE license with 6+ years leading VE/CSRA workshops on major infrastructure projects.
• Six+ years leading VE workshops for major infrastructure projects with client management experience.
• Proven ability to manage strategic marketing programs and broad client relationships.
• Active in industry associations with a visible profile in transportation markets.
• Demonstrated ability to work with client managers, technical directors, and operations staff.
• Must possess a driver’s license or U.S. passport.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Value Engineering/Risk Director in creating strategic visions and tactical plans.
• Participate in hiring, manage workshare and project assignments, and provide direct project support during VE and risk workshops.
• Collaborate with Business Groups, Market Sectors, and Business Classes to support client project needs.
• Participate in business development, including proposal support, staffing, and sub‑consultant identification.
• Engage throughout all phases of project development and travel nationally as required.
