Qualifications

• BA degree in insurance, business or related field preferred; AU/CPCU/ARM or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years as Property & Casualty Underwriter, or 3 years in underwriting support roles.
• Current property-casualty license (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance and underwriting judgment.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and price new and renewal business within underwriting guidelines.
• Request information and communicate acceptance or declination to producers.
• Build relationships with producers and be primary contact in territory.
• Review underwriting information including applications, loss data, budgets, and audits.
• Ensure accuracy of final policy products and compliance with filings.
