Job summary

Glatfelter Insurance Group seeks a Sr. Property & Casualty Underwriter to join the GH team and independently qualify and price new and renewal business per guidelines.

The role services accounts, builds producer relationships, and manages complex risk in a fast-paced environment at our Berwyn, PA or York, PA offices. Five years P&C underwriting experience and active licenses/designations are required.

Qualifications

• BA degree in insurance, business or related field preferred.
• Must have five (5) years of experience as a Property & Casualty Underwriter.
• Must attain or maintain a current property-casualty license for state of residence and other licenses as required.
• Proven ability to underwrite large accounts and knowledge of all commercial insurance.

Responsibilities

• Completes underwriting qualification and pricing of new business and renewal submissions.
• Requests additional information when needed and communicates acceptance or declination to producer.
• Acts as primary contact for producers in assigned region and builds account relationships.
• Analyzes underwriting information including applications, MVRs, loss notifications, loss runs, inspections, and budgets.
