Job summary

Glatfelter Insurance Group seeks an Underwriting Supervisor for its Glatfelter Public Entities team in PA. You will support the Program Manager in managing underwriting and profit/loss, while guiding the underwriting staff and maintaining client relationships.

The role requires strong leadership, compliance with guidelines, and the ability to train and develop talent; on-site work is in Leader Heights, York, PA.

Qualifications

• BA degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum five years commercial lines underwriting experience.
• Must obtain property-casualty license within three months.
• Prior supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily underwriting of property & casualty book within delegated authority.
• Oversees adherence to underwriting guidelines, risk selection, and pricing.
• Monitors authority delegation and conducts file reviews and audits.
• Provides training and guidance to underwriting staff.
• Coordinates with Program Manager and others on guidelines and forms.
• Ensures client pricing and coverage decisions align with market conditions.
