Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a TRS Senior Associate to execute, lead, and mentor a TRS staff in business restructuring and bankruptcy engagements, including litigation and due diligence, under supervision of a Principal/Director/Senior Manager.

The role involves collaborating with debtor clients in Chapter 11 restructurings, developing complex financial models, and supporting refinancing and sale initiatives while ensuring compliance with court requirements. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) plus years of experience with a national restructuring firm, management consulting firm, investment bank, large accounting firm, or similar financial institution performing audit, financial recovery or restructuring services.
• CPA certification preferred; CTP and/or CIRA designation beneficial.
• Strong financial analysis and complex modeling skills including cash receipts and disbursements analysis, financial statement modeling/forecasting, valuations and due diligence processes.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Principals and decision-makers.
• Collaborates with debtor clients in restructuring and Chapter 11 engagements.
• Prepares and analyzes complex cash flow forecasts and financial models with assumptions and schedules.
• Assists with refinancing efforts and sale transactions.
• Assists clients with downsizing operations and meeting financial goals.
• Works with buyers such as hedge funds and equity sponsors in due diligence.
• Ensures compliance with court filing requirements.
• Investigates transactions to determine causes of action.
• Reviews financial statements and prepares financial memorandums.
