Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking a technology leader to manage broad areas of responsibility and set the direction for operations across software engineering, platform development, information security, enterprise architecture, and infrastructure. The role partners with stakeholders to plan and execute, ensuring delivery on timelines and budgets.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of management experience leading diverse tech teams, strong people skills, and a strategic vision for technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 additional year of experience related to functional area.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of direct reports.
• In-depth knowledge for primary technology area.
• Strong demonstrated people skills and technical visionary skills.
• Prefer experience managing multiple technology functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide management for areas of responsibility and set direction for operations across technical functional areas.
• Inform stakeholders of high-level technical impediments and provide progress updates.
• Coordinate planning to support GTS and company direction and overlaying strategies.
• Direct daily, quarterly and annual planning for the group and drive technical change.
• Engage teams to identify opportunities for technology improvements and risk mitigation.
