Job summary

Strata Clean Energy is seeking a Travel Operations Specialist for a limited engagement in Durham, NC. The role focuses on strengthening the travel program, transitioning to a new booking platform, and building SOPs and training for ongoing operation.

The position is part-time (28 hours per week) over six months, with hands-on travel support for corporate and field teams, including vendors and travelers. The effort aims to deliver a practical, sustainable program post-engagement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in corporate travel or travel operations.
• Hands-on experience with travel booking platforms and systems.
• Experience creating SOPs, training materials, and process documentation.
• Experience supporting a system implementation, migration, or major process change.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary travel contact, applying company policies consistently.
• Book airfare, lodging, rental cars, and group travel for employees and candidates.
• Provide responsive travel support, handling changes, cancellations and special requests.
• Work with hotels, car providers, and vendors to resolve issues and ensure traveler satisfaction.
• Establish clear escalation and backup procedures for time-sensitive travel issues.
